There are three current pressing needs
- Finish building "Hope Christian Academy"
- Phase One is completed - the building for the first
floor, which houses grades Kindergarten through Seventh
- Also includes a computer lab
- Construction is beginning on Phase Two - the
building of the second floor, which will house grades
Seven (moving from first floor) through Ten - includes
Library
- Cost of the Second Phase is estimated at
a little over $150,000
-
With
the help of Don Barnett, one of the Elders for the
Hanford, California church of Christ, we were able to
build two new houses for the Village of Hope. The
Prestoncrest church in Dallas, Texas, has given $40,000
to build an additional home. This home, however,
will be a duplex and we are only halfway to our goal of
$80,000, which we need to complete this house.
There are
dozens of children on our waiting list and we are in
desperate need of funds to complete this home.
-
Boy's dormitory. In order for the
Village of Hope School to be self-supporting there is a need
for boarding students. (Almost all of the senior
Secondary Schools in Ghana are boarding schools.) It
is our hope that the school will be self-supporting.
Therefore we are building a dormitory to house 200 boys
(When the first dorm is finished we will build a second for
girls). The estimated cost of the dorm is $150,000.
-
Because we have added so many new
children our expenses have gone up substantially. We
are in desperate need of continued monthly support to care
for the children.
Please consider helping us to help the
children.
